At Life in Our Time Magazine, we believe that academic voices deserve more than grades and silence. Like many students, we spent years submitting essays that disappeared into systems — thoughtful work reduced to a mark and a footnote on a CV.
That never sat right with us.
We wanted to do more with what we’d learned: to start real conversations, question assumptions, and hear from others doing the same. But academic spaces often felt closed, costly, and unwelcoming — especially for students who wanted to speak up.
So, we created our own space.
Life in Our Time is a platform where students from all walks of life can share bold ideas, respond to global issues, and propose real solutions. A place where learning continues beyond the seminar room.
Because a degree shouldn’t just be a piece of paper.
It should be the beginning of something bigger.
We’re always looking to connect with individuals and organisations who believe in the power of student voices and fresh ideas. Whether you’re an educator, collaborator, or changemaker. We’d love to hear from you.
