I’m a Latvian‑German student with a deep interest in Middle Eastern politics, foreign policy, and diplomacy. Alongside my academic work, I care strongly about making high‑quality education and intellectual spaces accessible to everyone, regardless of background or status.

Life in Our Time grew out of that belief. I’m convinced that students and academics deserve places where their ideas can take shape, be challenged, and be shared without the barriers that define traditional academic publishing. Our platform is meant to offer exactly that; a space where people at any stage of their academic journey can publish their perspectives with integrity, confidence, and a sense of genuine community.
